Each child is given care, warmth and safety. At the same time each child is encouraged to express its own needs, wishes, interests and to contribute its own abilities.

I provide various areas of play including building and construction (with wooden blocks, animals and cars), dolls and role-playing, reading, kitchen, tools, painting & drawing, arts & crafts, games and puzzles.

Learning about nature is an important part of growing and each day I take the children out to explore. The children learn about flora, fauna and the environment and use natural materials to let their imagination run free. Outdoor physical activities not only promote a healthy mind and body, but the exercise and movement helps develop the children’s motor skills and balance. Keeping them healthy and active, also assists in strengthening the immune system.

In the warmer months, the children and I also plant vegetables and fruit in a small patch in my garden.
